I've heard a number of complaints about /me being spammed by people. They'll spam a wall, or throw a nade, and immediately hit /me to make sure that they hit something. On the other hand, I also heard that it's still nice to be able to know if you hit anybody, and sometimes the blue text that tells you who you hit and how many times you hit them doesn't show up for very long. So others wanted the /me function to remain just in case that blue text failed. I worked up a compromise. You can no longer use /me while you're alive, but you can use /me while dead. Let me know what you think of this compromise. If people hate it (for a legitimate reason, not just because it makes their spamming harder), I'll take it off. |
