I'm not going to click it because I'm on my phone. But I have a question. So wado-kai is like karate in the karate is almost exclusively countering and redirecting attacks?
EDIT: I looked it up. Wado-kai is a style of karate
EDIT: the above is exactly what Northern said. I should learn to read.
The site above is the direct link for Shintani Wado Kai Karate Federation, the co-founder. Full name is Masaru Shintani. Wado Kai has evolved since my 29 years of being in it. I started at the age of 7, doing plain karate. We are only allowed to use excessive force when deemed necessary, meening you're about to get killed, but other than that, we teach to neutralize the situation without excessive force. I was forced in a situation once in my life, where I had to use excessive force, and the guy just wouldn't stay down, and I had him neutrilized at one point, until he got his hand on a broken bear bottle, to strike my pregnant girlfriend in the stomach with it, but his hand never made it there. Let's just say today he's happy to be alive, as I could of killed him, wich took everything I had in me not to at the time. I hope never to live this experience again. You have to react quick in these situations, and sometimes it just don't seem fast enough. This was over 15 years ago, so I've learned a lot more since then, and if this was today, I would react, or neutralize him differently.
The police like to call us Lethal Deathly Weapons around here, and they won't give you a chance if you kill somebody cause of what we know, and can do.
