You don't have to spend so much $$$, it's the thought that counts. Meening, a $5.00 gift can be as meeningfull as the one who spend $200.00 on his gift. I'm the kinda of guy who won't spend the 200, cause even though I love to let my lady know I love her, I'd rather spend about $10.00 a few flowers, or simply make her breakfast in bed. I do agree with Serial on one thing thow. A lot of people will waste their money for this day, wich you don't have too. You can simply do a nice simple gesture that don't cost shit. I'm making her breakfast in bed, and got a $10.00 bouquet.
Even thow I believe in valentines day, I don't like the media (commercials) and all, to encourage people to spend so much money. Somone in this clan, who I won't name incase he don't want no one else to know, told me he spend $5.00 on a gift for his girl, and I told him that's great, cause it's the simple thought that counts. My kids simply made me a card out of a piece of paper, and that makes me happier than getting Serial's $200.00 gaming vid card that he's mailed me in the mail... lolz. Oh and my GF gave me a $10.00 gift card. We celebrate it today, since she works tomorrow night.
Oh! And I tell my GF I love her almost every day, not just one thing you say once a year.
So for all of you who do believe in this holiday, just remember you really don't need to spend a thing to make her happy. A nice friendly gesture, like a home cook meal, or something like a nice back massage would do... . It's like any other holiday to me, the media will promote for us to spend so much, when we really don't have to. Why get deeper in debts.
