Serial got into my head about map making and so did anubis with Phobia being the main map maker for 1v1 what ideas could I get from the crowd with team maps since I'm more creative with those ... keeping in mind I will be diving back in and learning some new stuff?

This will be nice promotional move from you and even better for our whole community. We need something new in our servers, Also to start with stuff like that you must have alot of free time.. But isn't bad idea at all :)

I have an idea for Phobia or whoever is making the 1v1 maps....

What about having some sort of structures/platforms in the map that you can run and jump on top of after you kill your opponent to practice strafe jumping/bunnyhopping, etc. The platforms would have to be spaced perfectly apart so that you'd need a perfect jump to get across. You could have several structures like this, each a harder jump than the one before. If you got an instant kill at the beginning of the round, you would have just enough time to complete the 3-5 jumps if you performed them perfectly.

Yeah, I think that's what he meant by team maps. I know he's made hostage maps, too, so he was probably referring to either.

That is something I've thought of, I know I love to mess around with strafe jumped and stuff. It's just that to add something like that I would either have to increase map size or incorporated it Into the acual map which is the better idea I think.

Like what cause there are a million ideas in my head from making a replica of serial and anubis' apartment building as a bomb map to replicating fort Knox again ...

At my peak I could produce a fully completed map like cs_office decorated and detailed in under three hours ... for me it seems like some savant ability ... now I would be more focused on detail

I'm halfway done with my first DE map ... multilevel angles map ... roughly the same area as de_prodigy as I figure that size of map would be a good starting point I have to developers the second level .... Two bomb sites multiple angles and multiple textures ...

The only recommendation I have is only use basic textures when starting so you know where people would peak, hide, plant, awp, etc. Fix any of the problems you encounter with the first part. Then decorate that mothafucker. Shit will be so nice!
