I once posted something along this line - Net neutrality is a cover up. It's a distraction, and it is distracting everybody from the real issue. The real issue is that the Internet is regulated in an extremely nonsensical way. Because of the nonsense related to the regulation of the Internet, it's possible for an ISP to take advantage of the customer. Net neutrality is a terrible bandaid for a problem that is much greater than "slow lane" Internet, and it's a bandaid that opens us up to more potential abuse from the government-corporation conglomerate that is causing the issues in the first place. And everybody is so distracted by net neutrality that they fail to even attempt to fix the real problems. |

Yeah, I remember hearing jero and anubis talk about internet regulation one day. I also read the reddit post. I think they need to change the way internet and data in general is regulated and charged. If they want to actually charge for data then it should be realistic. Which would mean data would cost next to nothing. I really don't want anyone ANYWHERE being able to regulate or control in anyway, shape, or form my internet activity. Or monitor it for that matter. |

I was reading about this thing called (darknet?) where people are taking the relevant/important information and making their own internet (im sure you understand what Im trying to say). It is off the grid from the mainstream internet and can be accessed via wifi. It is growing in some areas. I would encourage other people to look it up too ![]() |
