Yeah so the chart says it. I thought my upload speed was dying because of my Minecraft server, but no.

Any ideas?

My first thought is someone's phone being weird... but still no clue.

Edit: blue - download, orange - upload

I think there are programs you can get that will tell you which programs are uploading/downloading. I used to use NetLimiter a really long time ago, so I don't know if it's still good.

I may just cap the bandwidth on the wireless network.

You can do it locally on your own computer / phone, but I want to do it globally throughout the entire network.

You can get bitmeter2 for your pc, too eliminate that as the culprit. Set up it up so it show you upload speed/usage. Keep the computer on one day and see if at those times it spikes on the pc.

It is not my PC, it is the wireless network. I'm wired via cat-5.

I've said this plenty of times but I guess I'll say it again. Quit downloading and streaming that porn fool!

Ohhh... That's weird. Who is connected on wireless? Change your wifi password?

have you logged into your router and looked at all connected devices on the DHCP tables? Maybe there is a "Extra" user.

On the other hand they have bandwidth monitors for android devices.*

The closest house to me is 200 yards away and the 5.0Ghz does not reach that, so its local.

I have seen the DHCP tables but they are all local devices I am familiar with (same are static IPs)

I'm thinking about limiting the file transfer speed for some ports on some MAC addresses, therefore reducing the lag caused by those devices.
