Well, I was lying on my bed, and I had my phone on the bed next to me. I went to stretch, knocked my phone off my bed, it bounced and hit the power switch on the back of Xavier. Xavier turned off and now every time I try to boot him up he says something about being unable to boot up because the update was corrupted or something like that...I forget the exact error message, he's been broken since Tuesday/Wednesday. I've tried everything I can think of (which is essentially trying to restart him) and it doesn't work. SO.

Long story short, I am very special when it comes to technology.


My bro is coming over for my sister's birthday on Sunday. I'mma ask him to fix Xavier then =/

Restart it, this time try to open the boot options. You may be able to boot windows in safe mode which will prevent it from trying to update.

Once in you can change your update settings or rollback your system files to a previous restore date.

I already tried that, Goat. It's windows 8, so whenever I boot up in "safe mode" it takes me to a screen like this one... I've tried just about every option possible.

Anyway, my bro says that my hard drive became corrupted and he wasn't able to fix it right on Sunday =/ I gotta purchase a legitimate version of Windows for him to fix it.

poor cemy. windows 8 caused as many problems as windows ME. I have never seen to many tiny little things that break a fucking OS before. Its amazing to me how incompetent microsoft can be.

I should get windows 8. I'll probably have as much luck with it as I had with Vista.
