So... I was driving my girlfriend home at like 1:30 - 2:00 and i decided I didn't want to take her home yet so we went to McShitsandgiggles... I mean McDonalds, and then we drove around and chilled for another hour/hour and a half then i drove her home. Then i decided I'd go home REALLY REALLY fast so I could text her before she falls asleep. So I did. I shit you not, I literally was going 150 km/h down the street and slamming on the breaks before I turned corners, so i decided "hmmm... what if i rip the e brake going like 60-70 around a corner?" so i tried it. it scared the shit out of me cuz the road was wet but not snowy so it slid but it like SNAPPED back into going straight so I swerved a little bit and shat myself a lot. But when i was almost home i decided to go into the grocery store parking lot beside my house and do some donuts and see if i can finally do a 360 spin in my car. I did one and i felt invigorated so i did some other shit and i was drifting around cuz there was slight slush but not snow, just enough for my car to lose traction and slid. So i decided to go video game style and i went from one corner of the lot into the middle and ripped the ebrake and did a 270 turn and i feathered the throttle, spinning the tires a bit, so i could maintain my drift, and uh oh, the car starts going straight on ice and i can't turn or stop at ALL and i'm headed straight for a cart carousel thing and BANG. "OH FUCK". i get out to see 2 pieces of my bumper on the ground and a gaping hole JUST under my headlight. like literally there isn't even half an inch of bumper under neath my headlight. So at this point I am sitting here at 4:36 in the morning freaking out because my parents are going to be up in 3 hours and they are letting me use the car tomorrow morning to drive my friend around so she can apply to some places and I'm staying up so i can confront them about it BEFORE they go out for their morning coffee and go WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MY CAR>??!?!?!!!!!! I'm up shit creek right now. Apparently its $200-400 to paint a bumper and any where from $60-250 for the actual bumper cover plus labor. So i'm gonna buy the bumper online and just get it painted then put it on by myself. Making good out of a bad situation: at least i'm okay and at least I didn't hit the headlight and smash that up too. This has been an excerpt from Travis Pettipas' new life. |

Driving in the snow is fun. It's awesome to try losing control of your car and regaining it. But yeah, you have to make sure you can actually regain control and not lose pieces of your car in the middle of the road lol. |

AND to top it all off!!! The weld that holds my muffler to my exhaust pipe snapped today so I have to get that fixed but I'm gonna hold off on that one. My car sounds so beast now lmao. It's awesomeeee! |
