Bulldozer CPUs are notorious for having problems with CS:GO. You will, no doubt, have to perform a BIOS flash. Also your current CPU will get about the same performance for gaming as most games use 1-2 cores only. Bulldozer CPUs perform worse than the old Phenom II CPUs and both get annihilated by any multi-core Intel CPU. You would get a much bigger performance boost from a $250 video card. Hold out until Black Friday/Christmas deals anyway. Edit: Your current board supports the 2400, 2500 and 2600 all of which are great upgrades. The H61 chipset will prevent you from overclocking however. |
