This is important if you want real information and not what the marketing execs tell you.

Sensor List

Mice with ADNS-9500/9800 Avoid at all costs, not worth the problems. These are in the most common "Gaming" mice, G500, Sensei, M65/95, etc. Do not fall for the marketing jargon.
Mice with the Philips Twin-Eye are "meh", no accel but some suffer from lift off problems. They tend to break.
Mice with the ADNS-3090 and its variants are preferred as they are considered flawless.
Mice with the Pixart 3305DK are considered near-flawless as they have some prediction.

This is for CS:S, but most of it is transferable. For CSGO you can easily set Mouse Accel to Off, and Raw Input to On.
Some people have better results using MarkC's mouse fix and setting Raw Input to Off... It is pure preference.

TL;DR:
Optical = Good
Laser = Bad
Prediction & Accel = Bad
Native DPI/CPI = Good
Interpolated DPI/CPI = Bad
High DPI/CPI = Usually Bad
Low DPI/CPI = Usually Good

There are more mice than this but there aren't many tests done as they are just reaching the market. I will update the list as they come out and are tested properly. If there is a mouse you feel is missing than please say so and I will do thorough research on it (Maybe even buy one :P)

Yeah, I hate the way logitech mice feel as well. But you can get mice whose shape you like that also have a good sensor. I think Jero was just pointing this one out because it's super on sale.

Well when you buy a GAMING mouse you buy it for accuracy usually. Otherwise why not just use a OEM one?

1. Sensor/Performance/Wired
2. Shape
3. Build Quality
4. Switches, Mouse Feet, Cord Material
5. Price
6. Warranty

But yes I will just post any good performing mouse that goes on sale.

BTW, this is relevant because not only does Synapse suck donkey balls, but it's also obvious malware. I highly recommend not buying the Deathadder 2013 because of how badly synapse sucks those donkey balls, and downgrading your drivers if you buy a Razer Deathadder 3.5G.

I went from an MX518 to a Deathadder to an Ikari laser (4 of them broken) to a G400, and now just ordered the Mionix Naos 8200. My carpal tunnel is INSANE after using the G400 and I CANNOT wait for the Naos to get here.

Accuracy means nothing if I can't even play due to wrist pain. Show me an OEM mouse that feels as good for palm grippers as the Ikari/Naos.

I'm glad you're able to put sensor before shape, but for some of us...shape is EVERYTHING.

That mionix looks very similar to most gaming mice (for example, it looks very similiar to the Naos 3200). What is it about the shape that makes it worth it to you to give up a good sensor for it?

yeah, its a bit taller and more round than say a deathadder, but I have seen other gaming mice that look very similar to a Mionix Naos 8200. sucks you have wrist problems though.

The Naos came out after the Ikari. All 3 of Mionix mice have virtually the same flat/no hump/wide shape/feel. The G400 and Deathadder give me wrist pain and a numb hand. I used the Ikari laser for almost 3 years wo/ pain. Also, I do better with it than both the G400 and the Deathadder 3.5G. From what I've read the Avago 9800 in the 8200 has been updated and does not suffer from a delay like other 9800 sensor based mouse. FWIW, I would not call myself a mouseaphile. ;)

All the Mionix and the Ikaris are SHORTER AND FLATTER than the Deathadder...I've owned both @ the same time. The Roccat Kone was too heavy and nowhere near the comfort level of the Ikari. The rat series feels "ok," but I did not care for the way it tracked. Thanks for your sympathy!

Thanks for the advice, everyone.

TLDR: From what I've gathered from this thread the more expensive the mouse the better, use laser and not opitcal and make sure to download Synapse 2.0 if I'm using a RAZR product. Great info!
