I just ordered my first 144hz monitor and I'm really excited. However, I'm worried that sometimes while playing CS:GO I don't maintain 144fps. Does anyone have some tips to maximize my fps with my specs? I feel like I should have no problem maintaining 144+fps. CPU: AMD FX 6350 GPU: AMD R9 280 RAM: 10gb As for my settings, the only thing that is not on low are my shaders which are on very high (for the skins). In a really packed server it can go as low as 90fps, but while playing 5v5 i'm usually above 150fps |

thats really strange that you can go that low. i have the same cpu and a radeon HD 7770 and never go that low. I guess just turn all your video options to low and make sure the other options are set up correctly. |

I just updated my drivers and jumped in a 10v10. My frames were much better. Hovered around 200fps with drops to around 140. I ran Open Hardware Monitor and it said I was only using about 50% of my GPU and CPU load. Can someone explain this to me? Is there a way to use more of my load to boost my fps? |

Is Windows Power Profile on High Performance? What are your launch options? |

What res do you play on?If it's quite high, the takeaway for lowering res will result in higher fps and lower clarity. A good trade IMO |

I play on 1920x1080, I love the crisp picture. I've tried playing on lower res before and it allowed my monitor to play at 75hz, but I just couldn't stand the graphics. I also just found out that if I minimize the stuff on my second monitor it boosts my fps to a solid 250fps. So I may just have to keep that in mind from now on haha. |

Have you tried adding -lv to your launch options? The death animations suck, but it helps with frame issues a little bit.
