Hello guys,

This is my first post here so hi to all.

I dont know which one of these two mice to choose (Razer deathadder 2013 vs Zowie ec2a). I am switching from laser to optical mouse. Now i have Razer Taipan but i dont know if its broken or what but it slows down during the game and is not really what im looking for. From what i read here mostly from user named Jero optical are superior to laser.

So my question is if anyone of you guys could say some pros/cons of these two and which one could be better option?

cheers

I've personally had really bad luck with razer mice. I think I've went through three in two years or something before giving up. I also don't like the razer synapse software. I would personally go with the zowie.

I love my original razer deathadder. I have abused the shit out of this mouse and it still works. However, I think I have had a rare situation when it comes to these mice. I would almost recommend something else, but jero is the mouse expert and I am not.

Despite what everyone says about logitech, I love their mice.

Deathadder is reeaalllyy popular mouse, case and point: http://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive ... _delivers/

Never heard of Zowie though...

Never the less, Zowie is quite popular the more hours one has played:

I had a death adder for years and it was fantastic until I took it apart and broke it by accident. Now I have a Zone EC1 eVo. Same shape as the death adder, no added software.

Well it is all up to you really. Both mice will provide perfectly accurate control. Both have very good malfunction speed.

The Deathadder has more features and customizability, but it requires software to do so. The most common flaw is a mouse click problem that cause mouse1(left click) to either double register, or not register at all.

The EC2-a has set CPI(DPI) stages, and no real custom features aside from setting the polling rate. This mice are made for LANs as they require no software or drivers to work as intended. The most reported flaw, and only real issue is the possibility of getting one with a loose scroll wheel (moves side to side).

Both of these mice are ergonomic, but the EC2-A is a fair bit smaller than the Deathadder. Since you are coming from the Taipan (Ambidextrous) you will probably have to adjust your grip for either mouse. Again, both mice are A+ in terms of performance, it's just the bells and whistles that separate them.
