Okay, I'm posting this here because I am wanting to upgrade my graphics card and have been eyeing the 390 since release... until I saw this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 38566&SID= The rebate and the promo brings the price down to $276, which is impressive. I took a look at raw numbers, FLOPs / stream processors / other shit and this was better than the 390 in every aspect. Coming from a 270X both will be great improvement of performance, but which one would be better? I won't benefit from 8GB VRAM as much as the better performance that the 290X will provide. Any thoughts? I'm leaning towards this 290X card. |

Still $276. It doesn't include the rebate on the price listed. $400 - $60 off - $30 rebate - 10% off = $276 |

ATI the name was kept from up to 2010 and now has been retired, so I guess newcomers to the tech field are unaware of the ATI moniker. |

ATI was its own brand/name and was bought/renamed in 2010. |
