After installing Windows 7 Professional x64 on my new SSD successfully, I've decided to format my older Seagate hard drive to install Mac OS-X Snow Leopard. The reason is simple: to learn how to use the Mac OS. Being a computer enthusiast, I believe that it is my destiny to learn how to use different operating systems (...okay, not my destiny but more like my job.) So, what do you guys think? |

Start with Linux. 1. It's free. 2. It requires more computer enthusiasm/intelligence to use than Mac OS-X. 3. If you can use Linux, you can use Mac OS-X. |

Hmmmm...maybe I should do a triple boot (Windows 7, Linux, and Mac OS-X.) I have the hardware to do the installations. Which version of Linux do you recommend? Which one is easier to use concerning programming and everyday use? |

Red Hat Fedora is possibly the best for the everyday user, although FreeBSD will give you the biggest learning experience. EDIT: It's also the most stable.

I've actually decided to put that project on hold. Classes have been eating up my time and my weekends are usually taken up by unsuspected events (2 weekends before, consecutively, I had to repair 2 laptops for my cousin.) So, I'll notify you guys when I start to go about this project. So for now, it's on a hold. |
