You're trying to take like an avi or a mpeg that you downloaded from vuze and burn it onto a dvd so that you can watch it on tv? Am I reading your question correctly?

If what anubis is telling you is true, all you need to do is burn it on the dvd r, and you need a dvd player that says divx on it, wich can play this type of movie...

if your burner is the reason you can't then software won't help you. you need to make sure you have the correct driver for your drive or maybe a new drive altogether.

My answer would be to use some version of Nero and burn the movies onto the dvd. Nero is one of the best dvd burning software you can get and would most likely help you out with burning those Divx movies onto a dvd so that your DVD player will recognize them.

Wow i get no luv????

on new issue and i am kinda stumped. My burner only burns every other disc, the on in between gets to 99 percent and the quits, but I just follow burn another one and presto. I would imagine there is something in the files (dvd movie) that gets fixed after each attempt. I am using Windows DvD Maker. I tried to run it through Movie maker and save it to a new file and then burn but still the same event. It sucks because every movie is going to take 2 disc... and only on copy will work.

I am looking for a free program to make dvd.. without wasting a ton of good Dvd R's i am stumped for now but i am going to finish the one being burned and then proceed to restart the ole pcand try again...
