Yes, I am late to hear this bit of news but, it makes me very happy to share it with you guys. It seems like the Infinity Ward team fails again with Modern Warfare 3 (for PC that is.) It was stated that MW3 was going to support dedicated servers (and I believe it is going to support it) but all of them will be UNRANKED servers. This means that in order to play with unlocks, the admin of the server will have to choose them OR you can rank up via matchmaking (IWNet anyone?) For those that have played MW2 on PC, IWNet is the piece of shit P2P matchmaking service that Infinity Ward concocted to TRY and keep cheaters out (although 1 week after MW2's release, the game was already hacked.) I guess Infinity Ward didn't learn from their past mistake and with this being Sledgehammer Studio's and Raven Software's first take on the Call of Duty name, those 2 are off to a shitty start with Call of Duty. To all the console players: good luck, have fun, and may Call of Duty die in your hands. As for me, I'll be playing Battlefield 3 with a shitless grin on my face knowing that I'm getting the full dedicated server package.
