It's sick. It's amazing. It's the best console ever. Notice how I said console? PC still blows it out of the water in the end. But still, If your in the market for a Console, go with the PS4. |

The Good: The one thing about it is that it's really fast. It can launch any game/application in about 10 secs no problem. One of the problems I had with the ps3 was that it took forever to load up the Storefront (about 1 minute wait). On PS4 it's literally 2 seconds. Right now the exclusives aren't the most satisfying, but it is Sony so exclusives in the next couple of years will bring it up. It also bring f2p games to a console which (besides of isolated incidents) is pretty cool. The controller is probably the most amazing thing I have ever gotten to use. A huge step up from the DualShock3. Everything about the DualShock4 is positively wonderful to play with. The touch pad feels nice and is really responsive, while the analog sticks have a nice resistance to any direction you push it in. The triggers also feel much nicer than the DS3's ones as they are now convex rather than concave and don't push down to far to where you finger might slip. The Bad: Not many exclusives at launch. There is a big focus on the whole Social aspect now. When I went to sign in to my original PSN account from my PS3, it asked me if I want to use my actual face as a picture with my full name or just my PSN Icon with my PSN Username. I of course went for the PSN username. IT WILL STILL SHOW YOUR REAL NAME AS YOUR MAIN NAME ON YOUR PROFILE. I don't like that decision at all and I wish they just would let me use my PSN username. It also has the problem of trying to get you to check out your friends statuses by sending you notifications of what they just earned. Now I would be good with this if it was just for "Soandso just started playing ___" as that would be kinda nice, but it extends to screenshots, videos, trophies earned, dlcs bought, and more useless shit that I don't want to see. The Ugly: Your PS4 can brick if you start Netflix. niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. In terms of games I have played: Killzone Shadow Fall: The frontrunner for the PS4 is also one of the best. Running at 60fps, the game plays so smooth it's like ice. The single player is kind of dull and boring from what I have played. The story is also not the best which is weird because Killzone always had a great story to fall back on. The multiplayer is amazing from the get go with the weapons all being unlocked from the start and maps being overall fun but forgettable after 1 month while the weapon. Where Killzone shines is it's gunplay as all the guns feel heavy and when you shoot them the sounds they make them sound powerful (even the pistols). Resogun: Free for members of PSPlus (which you get one month free with purchase of the PS4). It is the best game on the PS4, hands down, no competition. It's a 2d shooter based on defender from back in day with you shooting aliens and saving humans. I really recommend that you search this up on youtube and check out the gameplay as it's so much fun. I do plan to update this as soon as I play all the other games I have downloaded. Contrast, Blacklight Retribution, Flower and Sound Shapes. The last 2 I had already played on PS3 but I want to see how it handles the PS4. The whole thing about it being inferior to Gaming PCs is basically that later down the line the PS4 will become outdated compared to what PC's are capable of handling. The fact that it only is about the power of a Mid-Grade PC right now shows that. With technology moving faster by the year, the PS4 might just be outdated in about 3 years which is crazy to think about. A game which runs better on the PS4 than PC is Warframe. When I played it on PC 1 month ago the game had mad stuttering issues. On PS4 it had none of those problems. A game which (Apparently, I haven't played it yet. I just heard it from my friend) is Blacklight. Blacklight on pc is already pretty smooth but on PS4 there are loading issues which can crash the game on PS4. |

I have a feeling they will tone down the notifications from your friends, or at the very least give you the option to choose what to see. I was watching streams last night and that was a big complaint from people. The system looks awesome and I want one. However, don't be surprised if yours bricks or stops reading games stickly. I saw a guy get a brick last night on a live stream, just from playing too long. His disc drive stopped and eventually fixed, but DAMN. |

Yeah, The guy's PS4 bricked on air. He unplugged it for about 20 minutes and stood it up and it eventually started working again. He was streaming it earlier this morning. |

I don't have any bets on mine being bricked. It may happen, but I keep my electronics always ventilated, clean them often and I almost always turn them off when I leave for 5 minutes or more. The amount of PS4's is around 0.4% failure rate apparently so I'm not to worried in the end. If it does I will get pissed off but that will last for like 2 hours, then I'll call up support and get it replaced. |

I think its funny how so many of the xbox one's blurays don't work right out of the box. Also, some of them that work destroy every game or movie you put into them. |

People would be mad at Microsoft either way. I'm sure they had to rush testing to make their release date. The other side of things would be if they didn't rush the testing and didn't release it on time. People would have been furious.

yeah console fans are hard to please. I really do feel like there is a huge shift to ps4 instead of xbox this time around. Last time it was all anti sony and go for microsoft cause they care about the gamer. Now I feel sony is the one that cares and microsoft is the greedy son of a bitch bastard that deserves to tank. Not sure why. |

Lol the only good thing that console gaming has going for it is that it can be fun to play with a friend over at your house mainly because of split screen and 2 controllers If we give the PC's a handicap of oh lets say 8 years then we shall be on par with the "next-gen" consoles |

Yeah I would agree, maybe not 8 years because I think they are using quads in the systems aren't they? Are those 8 years old? Maybe. But yeah, I want more PC multiplayer games. Like co op. 2-4 players, something like that. |

Console fans are really hard to please. On Reddit people were up in arms about games running at 720p on Xbone while it runs at 1080p or close to (Battlefield 4 at 900p). All I want is console games to have a silky smooth 60fps. Hell the PS4 is better than my Laptop which is why I got it, to hold myself over for my next gaming PC in 2-4 years, which is why I want smooth games and not better graphics. Unfortunately, I'm in the minority here because all gamers nowadays want is better graphics. |

you may be right palms I wasn't quite sure. Consoles are generally just outdated hardware that people know inside and out. So its easier to utilize what is there. Plus everyone will have the exact same hardware and you don't have to worry about the same problems you get with PC's and games. |
