So about half the state was without power yesterday (484,000), and though they've managed to get about 100,000 back, I am still one of the many without :'| I'm hoping we can get ours back tomorrow, but the current ETA from the power companies is, "hopefully we'll get most of the power back by Saturday." So who knows. There's a ton of damage and now they have to deal with back roads and massive tree damage while they work, as opposed to the slightly cleaner/easier to access city areas.

My fish almost died because his tank temperature crashed today when I was kind of anticipating the temperature to be a bit stable for at least a day, so I have him here in a canning jar next to the woodstove to warm up his water and hopefully bring him back. He's slightly less listless, but you never know. I'd really hate to lose him now that he's really starting to show his personality.

So I could be back anywhere from tomorrow to next week. Just FYI

He started doing a lot better last night and was actually swimming around a lot more. I'm kind of on the fence about taking him to work with me because I don't know if the cats here will hassle him or notImageImage

Apparently only 100k still without power today. They're hoping to get a lot back tomorrow, but the "official" estimated time for it to return in my area is 10pm Saturday

Ughhhhh I'm still planning on taking tomorrow off to do housework, but I would really appreciate some power when I'm finished.

I have no idea about Internet status anyway. I'm sure that'll end up coming back a few days after power or something, unless the tvs everyone's watching in the area are on cable and not antenna. Who knows.

Maybe a quarter of the trees still down on lines within a mile of my house. They haven't been able to get up here yet :'|

Yep. They managed to get 200k back yesterday, but this area. Ugh. I think they said we have 1,800 workers right now getting everything back up since we have crews from Canada and what seems like half the country here

Well, there's a general cloud of "at least we're not Puerto Rico" up here, so that's a bonus

Yeah, the drive out from my friend's house is very scenic. It's cool in the morning with the fog

Wait now I don't know if this is a black picture for everybody else and everybody is good at the joke or if I actually picked something randomly that was real.
