It pisses me off. There is a bed (any combination of mattress and box springs - or hell, just a pile of blankets on the floor), and then there is the bed frame. These words are not interchangeable. |

Wait, how does this even come up? I'm curious. Someone is selling a bed frame and a potential buyer walks up, points at the bed frame, and says "How much der ya want for that ther' bed?" |

I was reading a thread on reddit where somebody "made a bed" and it was a gallery of the making of a bedframe. Also serial's family all say "bed", so when they noticed our bed is just on the floor instead of on a frame they were all like "...you don't even have a bed? You just have the mattress?" like it was some sort of abomination. Serial's mom has also said "I don't like my bed" in reference to the bed frame, but I thought she meant the mattress. |

Isn't a bed just wherever you sleep? I've slept in all sorts of sleeping arrangements but whether it be a pile of blankets on the floor, a mattress and boxspring on the floor, even a bed frame that I sleep in to pretend like I have a nice comfy mattress, they are all considered a bed to me. |

Oh lol, that's pretty funny. Ya, I've never heard anyone refer to the frame as a "bed." I agree that a bed can be anything that you sleep on top of. |
