Directly from the included readme:

This edited version of Counter-Strike's "de_Survivor" map removes the poor looking snow effects and light flares from the map, and adds more realistic looking snow effects.

The following map entities have been removed:

"model" "sprites/snow.spr
"model" "sprites/flare1.spr"

...while the following map entity has been added:

"classname" "env_snow"

...which results in much more realistic looking falling snow.

As far as the new snow efects: Instead of the big ugly sprite blobs that were originally used for the falling snow, I used the same method that was used for the CS:CZ "de_Vostok_CZ" and "cs_Office_CZ" maps ("env_snow").

That screenshot really doesn't do it justice... the falling snow looks SOOOO much better now compared to the ugly blobs that were falling in the map with the original version :)
