]It recently came to my attention that some our newer-to-counter-strike members might not know that your CS:GO radar tells you if your teammates are above you or below. It also tells you if the bomb or the hostages are above you or below you.
It's really no wonder, though, because the icon is pretty hard to see, especially if you're playing at a lower resolution or if you have your radar zoomed out. Heck, I think I was playing CS for 6 months before I realized wtf that was on my radar.
There is a T shape that distinguishes if the object/player is above or below you. If the T shape is absent, they are at the same elevation. The T points the direction of the object.

This is super useful on multi-elevation maps such as nuke, vertigo, or hotel, since GO's positional audio makes absolutely no differentiation between elevation.
