Thanks to all 3 of you for your replies.

Suck it up and deal with the fact that this is what matchmaking at your rank is like.
I don't understand how rank factors in. What rank does this stop happening? The 2 guys ruining the game in match 2 were ranked MGE and MG2.

Why would you TK? That attitude itself is against what we stand for, which is honestly surprising that you would suggest it considering your attitude in the Toksik thread.
I don't see how this relates to my attitude in the Toksik thread as that topic was about making fun of players of lower skill. That said, I'm by no means advocating TKing in general nor did I do that during the match (as frustrated as I was). I was simply asking a question because I look to you more experienced players for input on how you might handle these challenging situations. When 1 or 2 players are throwing the bomb out of bounds each round or TKing everyone else on the team down to 10 health to start each round, how are you going to respond? TKing them first is at least a reasonable question to pose when it is the only option that allows the round to be played out somewhat normally (you can pick up the bomb after they die and/or they don't shoot the shit out of everyone else on the team). Are you saying you would just play out 30 rounds where you die instantly each time an opponent sees you because of your low health? There is also no point in attempting to complete the objective because one of these guys will somehow ruin it. That is an hour of my time that is better spent doing something else rather than watching these idiotic monkeys run around thinking they are funny while ruining the game for everyone else.

report them for cheating. Overwatch doesn't get specific cases to let the person know its a cheating overwatch or its a griefing overwatch. If you report for cheating the overwatch community gets the video and they will clearly see its griefing and they will get banned. DO NOT KILL THEM YOU WILL GET OVERWATCH BANNED FOR GRIEFING. I kick them, if I can't kick them then I just ignore it the best of my ability and just right off that experience. You need to make some friends and only play with them instead of solo. solo is the worst experience.
Ok thanks, I will report them. How does one initiate a kick vote? If 2 people are the problem, can the 3 others kick the 2?

I always vote to ban if I get an overwatch case like that. I believe the consequence is something like a 45 day ban.
Well that is nice to hear.

Second, the valve bans aren't really a joke. They start at 30 minutes but quickly escalate to a full week, and you have to play a full week just get downgraded to the previous level. If you're playing multiple matches every day, you should not expect to use bans as an alternative to playing.
How does it go: 30 minutes, 2 hours, 1 day, 1 week? So if a guy plays a match on Monday and abandons, he gets a 30 minute time-out. He plays again on Tuesday and abandons he gets a 2 hour time out. On Wednesday he plays and abandons again and gets a 1 day time out. So are you saying if he plays again 6 days later on the following Tuesday and abandons he will go straight to the 1 week ban because he hasn't yet sat a full week at the 1 day level?
Also, is there a ban/penalty if your team kicks you? If not, what is to prevent people from just going AFK instead of disconnecting?

Luckily, I enjoy the game per se and I don't have to be playing in a competitive 5v5 scrim to have fun, so I'm not sure what am alternative is for you if you don't find casual play fun.
I do find casual play fun (pubs) as long as there is still some effort to accomplish the objective being made. The objective is what differentiates CSGO from many other FPS. Lately, however, I've been desiring to play more 5v5 because of our CEVO competition and wanting to get better at competitively played maps and the 5v5 dynamic. It seems, however, that I may have to give up on this attempt and just find some west coast pubs to play in for fun from now on.
