Ok, I'll admit, I was a little skeptical of the skins idea when I first started playing CSGO a month ago. Now I have to say that I really like them and feel they add a lot of flavor and some variety to the game.

What do you guys think? I'm curious to know your opinions.

Additionally, what are your opinions of the stat-trak feature? I personally don't understand the appeal to stat-trak, at least not if it's what I think it is: just a number counter for your kills with the weapon. Having 100 kills over 20 hours of play or 100 kills over 2 hours of play mean very different things. I guess if its just for your own curiosity and fun it could have a little value, but I see no relevance for it to be displayed to others, at least as it is now with a lack of more parameters. I also think the price/value disparity is much too great for what you're getting when compared to the non-stattrak versions. And then there's this:

Why oh why, would you ever do this? Makes no sense at all to me.

I really like the stattrack feature. It's the only thing I care about in a skin. I am trying to buy up the cheapest stattrack skins in every weapon so I can have one. I just love having my kills counted.

I don't care much about the other skins. I have them equipped Sometimes, but I really feel very neutrally about them.

Your opinion is the opposite of mine, lol. Perhaps my opinion will change over time, as it did with the skins themselves..... Time will tell.

You opinion will probable change. It makes skins that no one wants into usable skins

Wow, I watched that video. What a shitty way to add kills to a stattrak. Wouldn't that just make it feel cheesy for you? I am never impressed with others weapons. If I see someone with many thousands of kills on a weapon, I really think nothing of it. I just enjoy looking at my own weapons and seeing how many times I have gotten a kill while using it. After I get a stattrak for every weapon I can look back after a year of use and see what level I use the guns at. Its just personal. I also don't care about any of the skins at all. In fact if the skin is much different from the default gun I hate it. I don't want colors or anything bright. If it makes me stand out then its worthless. Stattrak for every gun is my goal. Don't care what kind of stattrak.

Are you talking about the video? Why would you do that? I totally don't get the point. Why do you want to look at a number on your gun that doesn't reflect your actual kills?

Well I think this is an entirely different point. If I were to change my opinion and want to use Stattrak in the future, I would want the ST on the skins I already enjoy looking at, not the ones I don't like. Although I agree with your point, the ST does make skins desirable that otherwise may not be used.
