Seconded. Also, if you buy a punching bag, make sure you buy gloves appropriate for you. I like using 4 oz mma gloves. The gloves any punching bag gives you are shitty and you will hurt your wrist.

Using gloves against a punching bag? Screw that noise. Just get a couple of hands wraps and you're good to go.

That just means you aren't hitting it hard enough. I tried that for a while. Looked cool because boxers do it in movies. 1) My bag was fabric, not leather. 2) My knuckles bled through the wraps. Do not attempt.

yeah, I tried punching one without any protection or wraps of any kind.........I have never punched one again. I thought I broke my fucking wrist when I did it. I think I ended up spraining or stubbing it REALLY bad. It hurt for weeks.

This as well. I have dainty wrists. I wrap my hands in such a way that I only go over my knuckles once and I use the rest of the entire wrap on my wrist (120 inch wrap). I also tie the gloves as tight as I can.

I would actually love to try again, with proper wraps and gloves that is.

Wait a minute. The WINNER has to spend the night in Northern's closet? So it's just a contest to see who can lose the hardest.

when i was training muay thai i used to use a 7 ft cloth bag filled with sand, try elbowing/kicking/knee'ing that. your elbow will become one big callus, and lose feeling in your knee and shin, and burn all your hair off your shin.

i do not miss those days.....
