I bought a Razer Deathadder with my computer. I had previously used the stock microsoft mice that came with my computer, or one time I bought a mouse at Walgreens, and never really saw the need to upgrade. But I must say, this Deathadder was a great purchase. The Razer site lists the mouse at $59.99 but I got mine on sale at newegg for $44.99.

What I like
Very comfortable.

Good, solid weight and sturdy feel.

You can customize the mouse profile for different things. You can set the dpi and the polling, the sensitivity, whether or not the mouse lights up, the scroll speeds, etc etc., and save them in up to three different profiles. It's very useful if you play a number of different games where you would want different sensitivities.

Pretty blue lights.

Nice braided cord.

I don't accidentally click or scroll at inopportune times like I was doing with my cheap mice.

I can actually see a drastic improvement in my gaming ability. My gameplay improved simply by using a better mouse, because I was able to fine tune my muscle memory when my mouse always does exactly what I tell it to exactly when I tell it to. There is no more slight unpredictability to the mouse movements which makes it hard to develop solid muscle memory.

Well-priced. Yes, you can buy better mice (this Razer Mamba looks pretty nice), but this is an affordable yet high quality mouse for a gamer.

What I don't like
I haven't found anything about this mouse that I don't like yet.

For me, I have the same opinions about my DeathAdder. I have the older one without the braided cord. One problem I've had with it is how the dust collects on it. It collects underneath the clicky things and in the cracks on the side of the mouse wheel which are very difficult spots to clean. Something I LOVE that you didn't note: The sliders on the bottom are PERFECT for a person, like me, who uses their desk as their mousepad.

When I started playing counter strike, I was playing on my bed. My monitor was up on top of my dresser, my case on the floor, and I had to lay back in bed with my keyboard on my belly and my mouse on a book next to me.

I've played on my couch on my bed on the floor. Even on the train one time. I still manage to snipe you in the face. In TF2 of course. CS is still just luck at this point.

cs will come to you more as you play. we gotta get you together and practice some with you and teach you some basic things with the guns.

I use this one. I have one thumb button mapped to V for voice and the other to Q for weapon swap. I don't really mess with the dpi settings.

I thought about that one, but my dad has a similar logitech mouse and it was never very comfortable. I've heard really good things about logitech gaming products, though.

I've bought tons of Logitech stuff over the years and they've always been awesome. I'm still using a wireless trackball that I got probably over 10 years ago.

Lol I didn't even know they made wireless trackball mice.

@rayearth I think the wireless trackball sucks lol. The one I had didn't last very long battery life.

@Anubis I agree, I don't find their products comfortable either. Two of my friends had a Logitech gaming mouse, although I don't recall the model, that was painted iridescent black and orange and also had weights in the bottom of it you could add/remove. But the overall feel of the mouse was extremely awkward. I agree with Razer mice. Made to fit the curvature of your hand

Wow, mine lasts forever (that's what she said). It's basically the ancient version of this. That and the other mouse I mentioned both fit the hand very well.

Yeah it's all about how you grip it (that's what she said?). Some mice are better for certain types of hands and grips but will be super awkward for others.
