I've been using a program called Rainmeter. It's like a desktop skinning program, or a really high powered widget program. It's kind of confusing, and I don't really understand how to use it, but here are some good starting places:

Apparently it's Rocket Dock.

How do you get a different background on each monitor?

I'm not finished with mine yet, I still need to add in a dock for all my icons.

Some details:
I had my mouse hovering over "Firefox" so you could see what it looks like on hover. The line the it in the middle of the weather section is a scanner line that continuously scrolls my screen. Where it says "Diablo", lights up with a white oval/rounded edge rectangle on hover. Both the big circle things are clocks.

Not Rainmeter but a program called DesktopInfo. Otherwise I like my desktop as clean as possible. Taskbar is set to Auto-Hide but it is on the left side.
The Rig is called LORDVADER as it is what came into my head when I chose my case. http://images.anandtech.com/doci/4913/glam.jpg

I love it! Is there a way to get it to read your temperatures? That's the only other thing I would want. Other than that, I think I might dl that!

I can't get any of the rainmeter skins to read my temps. I have no idea what is wrong.

My skin requires me to have SpeedFan open for it to show my temps

I find ones that use CoreTemp, which I have, but even those don't work.
