Some time here in the next few days I'm going to be installing a new operating system onto the home machine that is currently hosting the bot server. My current operating system for some reason is not compatible with certain things necessary to put the IRC server on it, so I'm having to switch to a different one. (If you're curious, I'm switching from Ubuntu to FreeBSD.)

This should only take a day, but it will take pretty much the whole day. I'll be transferring the files to my computer, formatting the server's hard drive, reinstalling the operating system, reinstalling the server, and then putting the files back on.

I will either do this tomorrow (Thursday) or next Monday.

UPDATE: This downtime will also effect the Superhero Server, and will very probably occur on Sunday.

naw the server is up, and I don't know why people can't see it. Our router blows, and until we get the new one, then I will keep resetting it whenever I have to so you can join the server. In fact davy was playing in it this morning.

I will have to put this on hold until I can get some help from the person who encouraged me to switch to FreeBSD in the first place.

I'm having some problems getting the router to recognize the existence of the server now that I've installed the new OS. But the servers will be back as soon as I can sort this out.

we gotta get a new router for the servers to be back up, but this should solve the problem of people only being able to see the servers sometimes. And maybe increase the speed a slight bit.

I ordered the router just now, so it should be here in a couple of days.

Our router should get here Monday.

In the meantime, I'm working on installing the CTF server on the bot server, so if you still want to vote on which style of CTF, head over to this thread and cast your vote.

Also, I'll add some more superheroes to the superhero server and work on evening out the levels at which you can attain these heroes, so if you have suggestions for heroes, post them in this thread.

Well, FedEx is really stupid and decided not to deliver my package today. I was waiting upstairs all day for them to show up, and at around 3:00pm I decided to look at the internet to see if it was still scheduled for delivery today. The site said it would be delivered tomorrow because when they tried today nobody was home. What a load of bull crap. They never came by - I was waiting for them. I guess it was just too much work for them to deliver it today so they just made up a believable lie.

EDIT: I called FedEx. They said "Surely he just didn't know where your house was. The driver will call you back and get directions." He never did. Serial called them. FedEx talked to the driver's manager and said he would probably be fired. Booyah! That's what happens when you don't deliver Absurd Minds' router on time!
