These guys just have incredible aggressive energy and even as intricate as the melodies are, they still manage to be catchy. Cedric's voice is so dynamic - one second growling in anticipation; the next bawling his lungs out to the chorus, then cracking and showing raw emotion. The rhythm section of ATDI is excellent as well - punchy, driving basslines are a staple as well as precise, thumping drumming by Hajjar. Omar is just crazy, I don't know how he manages to find the time to play the guitar in between salsa dancing around the stage like a madman. Jim Ward is the stoic chorus screamer of the group and creates an edgier, heavier push in the rhythms.

they don't move as much, more studio-sounding, but totally awesome.

"Player 1 notes hit: 43%" LOL

After revisiting Relationship of Command (their final and masterpiece of an album), I quickly went through the majority of their discography with In/Casino/Out, Vaya, and am halfway through Acrobatic Tenement. They've reunited for a couple of shows this year (included Coachella) after being on hiatus since 2001, but it's a shame that Cedric's lost his scream and Omar's mother died a week before touring started, They sound more mature and consistent than they did originally, but don't have the energy they used to. They're one of my favorite bands at the moment.
