I always forget if Advil and Tylenol are Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen. I've figured it out! Acetaminophen (the drug that is Tylenol) comes from the name Para-acetylaminophenol. Para-aceTYLaminophENOL. Now I will always remember!

If you can remember my problem, you'll always know that it's Aleve :D

Does naproxen sodium do the same thing as acetaminophen or ibuprofen? I know those two don't do the SAME things, but they do similar things and are used for the same purposes often enough. I have never taken or even looked at a box of Aleve before. I've seen their commercials though. I always thought it was a birth control. All the girls in the elevators and doing cool stuff, "I'm on aleve." Why else would they have ONLY girls in a commercial?

It's very commonly taken for menstrual cramps. I believe it is an anti inflammatory.

Advil = Ibuprofen, Bayer = Aspirin, Tylenol = Acetaminophen. From what I keep hearing, Advil is the better one to take of the 3 due to its ability to kill pain faster than Tylenol but is easy on the stomach than Aspirin. Although the weird thing is that I've been told not to take Aspirin or Ibuprofen due to my illness. I mean I can understand why I can't really take Aspirin but not sure if Ibuprofen also thins blood like Aspirin. But anyways, I take Tylenol or anything that doesn't contain Aspirin or Ibuprofen.
