I really would like everyones insight on this. I've asked r/cars and I know what they think. I want to know what you guys think.

Firstly, I'm a honda fanboy. Just am. Secondly, assume money is no object, to an extent -.-

I've divided the cars into price ranges. My thoughts for the lower price range are a civic si, a sentra se-r spec-v, and a impreze sti. My thoughts for the higher range are an evo 9 and a wrx sti. I am open to other vehicles. I am considering my first vehicle purchase as that will be what I am saving for. Consider that I am working on the rigs so awd is beneficial, but not necessary; it has to be fun, but somewhat fuel efficient; and the less I pay, the more I can upgrade. I am open to other vehicles. Also consider that I am buying used at first, and the better the car, the longer before I buy new. If it can traverse the winter (awd will be almost essential for this) then I won't have to buy a winter car or a new car for the winter. The more expensive the car, the longer I will have to save (obviously).

I will be making between $5500 and $7000 per month. The sooner I get a car, the sooner I won't have to rely on Shelley, my step-mom, to drive me to the shop. I would like everyones opinion even if you don't know much about cars. I'm not opposed to trucks, suv's, or crossover's either.

EDIT: words and stuff.

Let me give you some insight. I make about $2300 each month, and I actually have to pay bills like electricity and rent. I just bought a new Honda Civic for $19340. I put $8000 down, so you would only need to save for two months to do the exact same thing, and it brought my monthly payment to about $200. With an income like that, buy whatever you want, and you might as well buy new.

I agree with anubis. I wouldn't waste my money on something used. a year or two old would be fine, but you can afford new. I would go with what you gut tells you on choice of vehical. Just be practical with it. what will benefit you the most?
