Why do people keep saying I'm MGE :s I'm not. The only time I've EVER been MGE was when I was trying to downrank to silver and I only made it to MG2. I'm always DMG and when I gave a shit about my rank I was LE and for a BRIEF moment LEM.

RANK is silly. Nobody should care. It does not reflect your skill. Yes, a silver is bad, a nova is not very good, and dmg+ is the better side of things. It's a massively general label. It's just an e-peen thing. Who cares what your rank is, it's probably wrong. I'm pretty sure Jon is the only person who's made it into Main in any league. That means everybody else is Open level.

I'm not sure if you are talking to me or not, but I want to clarify. The names and ranks which I listed above are just the ranks that I have seen when queuing with those players to MM. The ONLY reason those are listed is because Amaroq mentioned that my initial rank was in the very top percentage of our clan and I was trying to point out that my rank was actually right in the middle of the ranks of the people I was queuing with regularly at the time. I was not/nor am I insinuating that anyone is or should be a particular rank nor am I suggesting what anyone's skill level is. I also agree as mentioned above that the ranking system is messed up.

It definitely was in the top. Some people had a rank one above you. One person sometimes had a rank two above you. There are people in the clan 8 ranks below you.

I don't understand what you are saying here. Unless I am mis-reading your post, you are saying here that my rank wasn't in the top and before you were saying it was?

Yes I'm saying you were one of the top ranked people in the clan. You were literally tied for second place in terms of rank.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. Your quote above you said "it definitely wasn't in the top" which is what confused me. You must have just mis-typed that word.
The overall point I was trying to make is that my initial rank was appropriate given who I was queuing with and how the ranking system is set up to work. If I had been only queuing with silvers, my initial rank likely would have been a silver, even if my skill level was higher than that, because the system isn't designed to give much weight to individual performance metrics. We both seem to be in agreement though that the ranking system needs fixing.
